Chrome style logo using alpha channels in photoshop
27.1.10
After receiving a plethora of emails this week from subscribers requesting a tutorial on chrome fonts, i decided to slap together a quick video on the usage of alpha channels and some brush presets.
Although in the video i also used layer styles for some of the glossy look, this can also be achieved with channels.

The key really is using the blur filter and applying lighting from the correct angle, and basically repeating this process until you have a clean blur formation within the font. A hint of any color can then be used to give that reflection. Keep in mind that any reflective object in real life will shine a hint of background or foreground color, in this case i used aqua.
Here is the video tutorial.
